6th Street Container.

The 6th street container is a co-op of artists’ studios and alternative exhibition space for local, national and international contemporary artists.  we will be exhibiting drawing, painting, sculpture, photography (digital and conventional,) mixed media, installations, experimental film, video and sound art. All exhibitions will be curate by our chief curator or we will invite different personalities from the art scene in Miami, Florida to curate different exhibitions and competitions. We will be focusing on a long term project of selecting artists from poor rural areas and inner cities who have never been able to participate in an exhibition or travel outside of their cities.  Also, to create a link, with other organizations from around the world in order to send our local young artists from low income status to reside and work abroad as some sort of international exchange.  Our organization counts with the support of private entities and we hope to soon also receive support from local, state and federal organisms to fund this ambitious task. 6th street container is a non-profit entity made possible through the contribution of its staff and by the generous contribution of various local donors.
